I played it tonight and it was the shit! It was smooth! I had no problems playing it at all. I would think it would be more taxing on your system with the more graphics intensive single player than the multiplayer. IT WAS GREAT!!

Yea, I was a little surprised that I could run everything maxed out and not get lag, but I'm talkin about SP here, who knows how MP will run. Graphics were okay, I didnt think it was everything it was hyped up to be. It kinda looked like a little upgraded version of a COD2 engine. For example, when the Cobra/Apache helicopter blows up and starts goin down, or anything for that matter blows up they still have the same kinda fire/fireball/explosion that was featured in COD2.

However, I did like the intense gameplay. Most of the time I couldn't even check out the graphics cause I was so caught up with the mission and what was going on around me. The guns look freakin' sick. The Dragonov is gonna be b**** in MP and M4 was the best gun IMO. I liked the blood too, alot more of it. I shot a guy on a balcony and when he fell there was a huge stain on the wall with bullet holes. All in All, I think MP is gonna be what gives the game its awesomeness and popularity like with UO. Im pissed off, I only had 57 minutes left, when I checked the status I accidently closed the box instead of minimizing, aaarrrrrgggg, now must wait another 5 hrs.

finaly got it and played it, COUNT ME IN THAT WAS AWESOME.

took me about 30 minutes to download, 2 minutes to install, and 15 minutes to do the first demo.

Was hella good fun thou. I think it will definalty be a game work playing. Wonder how the online presence will work thou.

It's strongly based off of the COD2 proprietary gaming engine with added next generation ehancements. True world-dynamic lighting, bloom effects, dynamic shadows and depth-of-field are some of the enhancements. "Bullet Penetration" is another enhancement. It is calculated by the gaming engine, taking into account things such as surface type and entity thickness. Certain objects, such as cars, will be destructible. Environments are not. This makes distinguishing cover from concealment important. Light cover such as wooden fences, thin walls and such will no longer provide sufficient protection. Bullets will penetrate light cover and the bullet's speed and stopping power will be decreased after penetrating an object. The game also makes use of a physics engine, which was not implemented in previous Call of Duty titles for the PC. Death Animations are a combination of pre-set animations and ragdoll physics. The game will run on DirectX9 and not DirectX10 like many would have hoped. But, on the flip side of that, those of you still not running a Directx10 card will still be able to play this game with very little issues. Let's just see how MP works out.

I didn't tweak any of the video options and I was seeing 50fps. That is using my dated x800pro vid card. I have my 8800gts sitting here staring at me saying "Install me". I am waiting for my new ASUS mobo, AMD AM2 6000+, and 2gigs of ram before I install it.

And what really ticks me off? They blankety blankin crosshairs still turn red when on an enemy.

I noticed the crosshair, oh well. I ran everything on max and my system flew thru the game. Let's see what the real game does. Hopefully it's not another let down like all the ones in the past.

Yeah the demo runs smooth,
but I fear that it is just COD 2 with a few enhancements.
and I heard no CTF??? and what about jeeps and tanks. I fear the worst.

And even multi player was fun, just not to the same extent as UO

Have yet to get any lag. I haven't played any big maps only small domination. They are really fast paced, and super crazy. One map is thirty people in an area about the half the size of a football field.

yea i hear ya dude. I was hooked on that game like a drug. Constantly gettings new unlocks and gaining ranks I couldn't stop playing it. Plus what more could u ask for running, maxed out and no lag on MP!? Twisted Evil

my first run has been on the trac server. I was going to try the dwr server next as well.
I didnt even check out any that came up on the refresh.

I havent even started sp yep, in too big a hurry to run gun and get killed! Rolling Eyes

I'm at level 29 right now which is Lieutenant. and I usually play on a served called ESW or something like that. Everytime i try I lost connection when joining the TRAC server.

trac has an east coast and west coast server. The west coast was having serious issues.
